Uganda Update – day 11

Uganda update day 8

As the team journey home in the knowledge that a great work has been done, that relationships have been strengthened, and that God is most definitely at work in Uganda, they bring back to Northern Ireland the challenge of ‘what next?…’

Day Eleven

‘For He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.’ Philippians 1.6

Day Eight

Today we recorded the children of Hidden Treasure singing a song written by Alison Cadden called ‘If God is For Us’, based on Charlene’s favourite verse. Beautiful words and beautiful Ugandan voices, the children loved it and were singing it all day long. We also told the story of the Lost Sheep with a rather theatrical shepherd and had more distribution today within the community. Truly a special day. On a side note we receive such joy seeing the children draw water from the well, God is good.

Day Seven

Today we said a sad goodbye to six of the team today, will miss them a lot. Their work and heart was amazing. Today was another medical clinic held, and there was the usual school programme and kid’s club, with a very mobile Jonah puppet. The kids sure have energy – way more than we have! Blessed day again, with visits and prayers in people’s homes, with much distribution through the clinic of both clothes and food. Heartbreaking stories, but truly aware of God in our midst and in the people we met.
