UTV Live News has reported on the passing of Charlene.

‘A courageous charity worker has tragically died just days before building work begins on the African school project she created.

Charlene Barr, 20, passed away on Saturday at her Co Armagh home surrounded by her family after spending over a year on the waiting list for a double-lung transplant.

Born with cystic fibrosis, the young Dollingstown woman’s health deteriorated in recent years but she didn’t let this put it off helping others.

She created ‘Charlene’s Project’ to build a school near the Uganda capital of Kampala after visiting the country in 2008…
